April is a month of new beginnings and growth, the perfect time of year to commemorate Diversity Month, a celebration dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion in all aspects of life. From workplaces to schools and local businesses, Diversity Month is the perfect platform to highlight the value of diversity and create a more welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone. This month, why not explore some unique experiences hosted on our platform: take a trip to India’s first open-air art district, learn about the Arakwal people, join a walking tour of Langa in Cape Town, or learn all about Mexico City’s contemporary history.

Explore India's First Open Air Art District
Colorful, vibrant and full of energy, India's first open-air art district, located in Lodhi Colony in New Delhi is a unique and vibrant hub for contemporary art. Join this immersive tour of the neighborhood, showcasing the incredible street art and murals that adorn its walls as our local guide shares the stories behind the large-scale murals and intricate street art that reflect the unique cultural and social identity of the area and its transformation into a thriving arts district.

Walking Tour of Langa Township, Cape Town
As the first black township in South Africa, Langa has a rich history and a vibrant community, which Odwa Futshane (a resident of Langa and credited SATA Tour Guide) will introduce to you. Follow him as he shows off the colorful houses, bustling markets, and lively community centers that make up this dynamic neighborhood. Along the way, he’ll introduce you to some local residents and their customs, teach you a few Xhosa words, and share stories and insights into the history and culture of the area.

Virtual Aboriginal Tour of Cape Byron
Get a glimpse into the rich history and culture of Australia's Indigenous peoples on this Aboriginal Tour of Cape Byron. An immersive online experience that provides a unique opportunity to learn about the culture and history of the Arakwal people. Local tour guide, Aunty Delta, will take you through the stunning natural landscapes of the region, sharing the stories, insights, ancient traditions, beliefs of the Arakwal people and their deep connection with the land. Along the way you may also catch sight of the abundant wildlife (koalas, wallabies, wombats) and unique plants native to this part of Australia.

Modern History Along Mexico City's Reforma Avenue
Take a virtual tour of the iconic Reforma Avenue in Mexico City, a grand avenue steeped in culture, politics, and architecture. Originally designed to connect the city center with the outskirts, our guide will bring you on a tour of some of the city’s most striking buildings. Tour sights like the Palacio de Bellas Artes, home to some of Mexico's most iconic art, including murals by Diego Rivera and David Alfaro Siqueiros, and iconic sites like the Monument to the Revolution, built to honor the heroes of the Mexican Revolution, and a symbol of the country's struggle for independence. At the end of the hour, you’ll come away with a fuller picture of Mexico City and what makes this city so unique.

TOURS FOR TEAM BONDING

2/27/2023

Engaged employees are the key to any business's success and online team-building activities are a convenient way to build bonds across remote and hybrid teams while encouraging non-work communication, and increasing cross-team collaborations. Keeping corporate culture and engagement up after the holidays can be tricky, so why not whisk everyone off on a vacation overseas to New Zealand, Senegal, and Berlin to experience something new together?

The Colorful and Lively Fishing Harbor of Mbour
Did you know that the Senegalese eat up to 35 kilograms (77 pounds) of fish each year? Join our guide on a visit to the lively artisanal fishing port of Mbour, one of the largest fishing ports in the country which serves as a major hub for the local fishing industry. Home to a bustling fish market where local fishermen bring in their daily catch of fish, octopus, and other seafood, this lively experience will show how artisanal handmade fishing boats called pirogues are made. As part of the tour, visit the area of the market where Senegalese women transform fresh fish products into dried products to sell and pass to the many seafood restaurants and cafes that line the harbor, making it a popular spot for visitors to enjoy a meal while watching the boats come and go.

Auckland Harbourside Walking Tour
Transport your team to another continent from the breakout room or over a team Zoom event. This interactive experience brings everyone to Auckland’s bustling harbourside, walking across two of the city’s iconic drawbridges to arrive at Wynyard Quarter offering spectacular views of the Auckland Harbour Bridge, Sky Tower (its tallest freestanding structure), and the city skyline. A beautiful place to take a stroll, people-watch, and enjoy the sight of yachts coming and going. Time the tour to take place just before sunset; you might be lucky enough to enjoy a spectacular light show.

Queer Berlin - Explore the LGBTQ Capital of Europe
If your company is looking to introduce some DEI initiatives, this tour of Queer Berlin is a great place to start. Let our guide show you around the Berlin of Marlene Dieterich, Christopher Isherwood, and David Bowie. Start at the Schwules ("Gay") Museum and walk past the street art on Bülowstr on the way to Nollendorfplatz station with its rainbow motif neon lighting. See the Memorial to the Nazi persecution of Homosexuals and take a walk around Motzstrasse, as you explore the facades of iconic bars and clubs, like the Eldorado and Connections or The Bull. The tour finishes at the square of Viktoria Luise Platz and Fuggerstrasse - the location of the annual Folsom party - ending at the historic Wittenbergplatz station; a fitting conclusion to a feature-filled hour.
